California Kush is a nice, well rounded hybrid strain which is Indica dominant. The aroma of the buds themselves are a fruity and somewhat citrusy smell, mixed with dark coffee undertones, all of which are present in the taste of the smoke. When smoking Cali Kush, spiciness replaces the fruity smell, and the coffee aroma is much more prominent. The Cali Kush high is nice and balanced, leaving you feeling happy, lazy, and sleepy but without giving you couchlock. Whilst it is mostly used for stress medically, its seen a lot of use to treat insomnia, pain, nausea, anxiety, and depression.

This strain is amazing, when they say AAA they mean triple A. The buds are sticky, dense and totally frosted, when I opened the packaging a strong kush smell permeated the room with a complex bouquet of sweet citrus and pine, but also a hint of diesel that made this batch have a very complex terpene profile. Very good bag appeal. The OZ came kind of scrunched together, but once the bag was opened and the nuggets were pulled apart, that is when the magic happened. You need to get this strain, which is geared towards heavy tokers with a high tolerance or those who enjoy a good buzz without being over powered.
The smoke is very thick and smooth, I used a bong and got some very heavy pulls with a little coughing for inexperienced tokers. The high comes on fast and is strong, this smoke is good for people who are looking for a strong strain that gets the job done, while not giving couch lock like some other heavy hitters.
I like to golf and when I get tired on the course, I use cannabis to help keep my 45 yr old joints working and to alleviate pain and fatigue after 36 holes all while still hitting blistering drives and good wedge play and putting, yeah right lol. But a couple joints on the course really makes the experience better…
All in all this strain is a winner and I would highly recommend this to a friend. Be careful it is a heavy hitting strain (for the lightweight toker), but not over sedating or leaving a heavy burn out. For the price as well $149/OZ this is definitely a strain worth messing with, you will be satisfied.
